WWTP Rabrovo (Serbia)

A new wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in the Serbian municipality of Rabrovo officially began operations in October 2026.

The project was implemented as part of an extensive national environmental initiative called “Clean Serbia” (Čista Srbija), which aims to radically increase the percentage of wastewater treated in the country.

We are proud that the technological heart of the biological stage of this modern wastewater treatment plant consists of KUBÍČEK blowers, which we supplied to the project through our exclusive representative for the Serbian market, Hydrovision d.o.o.

The wastewater treatment plant in Rabrovo (part of the municipality of Kučevo) is designed for a capacity of 1,000 population equivalents (PE 1,000) and is connected to a newly constructed sewer network spanning 7,713 meters. Treated water from this facility is discharged into the Pek River, an ecosystem that was previously burdened by unfiltered wastewater.

The entire Rabrovo wastewater treatment plant complex operates in a fully automatic mode via a central control panel, with which our blowers are fully synchronized. The system can flexibly respond to the current wastewater inflow and optimize electricity consumption by regulating the output of the blowers.

The Chinese corporation China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) participated in the implementation of the project, in cooperation with the environmental division of the Serbian company Millennium Team and the local government.
