Deammonification of fugate at Šoštanj WWTP (Slovenia)
Another successful project in cooperation with our partner, the Slovenian technology company ESOTECH.
We delivered 2 pcs of 3D38B-100K units with 15 kW motors for Šoštanj WWTP.
The blowers serve as a source of compressed air for the deammonification process, or removal of ammonia from the fugate, which is water from the sludge dewatering in the WWTP.
The new process facility has a capacity of 120 m3/day.
The operation is fully automatic with local control, and is connected to a SCADA system.
The process reactor (including biomass) operates in 3 modes that alternate according to online measurements (pH, NO3, NH4, O2, conductivity)… fugate feed, biomass mixing and aeration (0-1 mg/l O2).
The process is very precise, operating in the 0.01 pH range.
Total nitrogen removal reaches up to 90%, with a reduction in operating costs for electricity (65%) and up to 100% external carbon sources (210 t/year for WWTP).
The project joins dozens of other projects on the Slovenian market where KUBÍČEK blowers are operated.
